I actually want to make a human girl for the liger.. But I don't know much about the humaniods in the lands.. Can someone link me to a description of them? Thanks. ^^

And should my ancient be under humans or creatures? I'm a little confused about that.

Ancients would fall under Humanoids, since they will be played as full characters ^^ And I will put up a link to the Lore thread, which... well is kind of mandatory reading for anyone getting into this, idk why I didn't put it there before xD

Humanoid
Username:
Character Name:
Edgar Rings
Gender:
Male
Race:
Celt Human
Homeland:
Was born in Celtlands, currently lives in Oriental Isles
Age:
21
Personality:
Edgar is mostly humourous and takes things lightly. He's very strong and not many things can stop him, emotionally and physically. He's one of the nicest people you'd ever meet however, and is very understanding of other people's limits.
History:
Edgar was born in the Celtlands and fell in love with drakes as soon as his father began to show him the carvings of the majestic creatures. He wished one day that he may be able to ride with them. He moved to Alabaster City as soon as he could and then wandered to the Oriental Isles to raise Drake eggs that he had acquired through trading. These drakes now occupy a large ranch on the islands, and the drakes are free to roam as they wish. They always tend to come back, though. He is currently in Alabaster to obtain a fully grown drake, the ultimate prize in his own eyes.
Appearance:
Image
Companions:
Elate and Irate, the twin prong foxes.
ImageElate
The female of the bunch is rather social, hence her name "Elate"
ImageIrrate
Irrate is not as social as his sister, seeming to stick near Edgar and not wander off as much.

Bonded creatures:
Edgar has no mature bonded creatures, however he keeps his "Knapsack guardian" Arian with him at all times. The pygmy drake not only bonded, but imprinted on Edgar when hatched. Edgar does not seem to mind the cool scales of the frozen drake.

AGRESSIVELY LEAVES THIS AS A WIP WHILE I REMEMBER HOW TO DO THE RP THING

Humanoid
Username: cjr09
Character Name: Tetra Swan
Gender: Female- regular female pronouns are fine.
Race: Half-blood
Homeland: Norland
Age: 17
Personality: Crass, and often rude, she's not particularly concerned with what people think of her and her kind; she's only concerned with helping herself and those closest to her. With a sharp rapier and a sharper tongue, she's true to her role as captain.
History: She doesn't remember much of her early life- a blur of snow and cold, with being turned away from just about everywhere she tried to go turned her away due to her halfblood status. She turned to travelling, to thieving, to stay alive and in one piece. She can't exactly pinpoint the moment when she met Lyric- one moment he wasn't there the next he was- and they grew up together, holding tight to each other to scrape through life together until they finally found their niche- on the open sea and in battle. Tetra worked her way through the ranks of the various ships they'd landed on, until she finally managed to commandeer a ship of her own, which she lovingly named the Morningswan. And the rest, they say, is history.
Appearance: Image
Companions: N/A for the time being~
Bonded creatures: Fenrir

Creature:
Name: Fenrir
Gender: Male
Species: Dire Wolf
Personality: Basically an overgrown puppy, with little to no regard for personal boundaries or what his Warden says; they're far from the ordinary Dire and Warden pair. He adores his Warden, and will follow her anywhere; even onto the seas and into naval warfare.
Appearance: Image

Humanoid
Username: cjr09
Character Name: Lyric Crow
Gender: Male
Race: Avian
Homeland: Norslands
Age: 14
Personality: He's as childish as his age would suggest; with a high pitched voice and an impish personality. He doesn't take orders well- never has, and is every bit as stubborn as Tetra is, even if he doesn't show it often.
History: Even if Lyric's an Avian from House Corvus, he was abandoned at birth- too small, too awkward, too blind. Lyric doesn't remember anything before he met Tetra- she's all he's known, and would follow her to the ends of the earth, even if he gives her a hard time about it. Avian or no, Lyric's a Serval Seeker through and through, a thief and a pirate is what he was born to be, and blind or no, Tetra makes him her Navigator, and for the first time in the abandoned Avian's life he truly belongs.
Appearance: Image
Companions: Mischief
Bonded creatures: Keeper and Crow

Creature:
Name: Keeper
Gender: Female
Species: Pygmy Lockett Serval
Personality: Keeper is... the keeper, she looks after all of Lyric's meager valuables, being entrusted with the only key to the chest he keeps them in. She takes her job very seriously, and while she is as theiving as any Serval, doesn't usually go out of her way to steal anything... unless it's gold.
Appearance: Image

Creature:
Name: Crow
Gender: Male
Species: Crow Carrion Rune Dragon
Personality: Crow has known Lyric for his entire life- Crow is from an entire flock of Crow Carrion Runes that follow Lyric around. Crow has much of Lyric's personality- mischievous and thieving, and the little Rune loves shiny things and will always look for things to steal from above.
Appearance: Image

Creature:
Name: Mischief
Gender: Female
Species: Pygmy RGB Green Rune Dragon
Personality: Mischief lives up to her name- Lyric busted her out of a trap she was caught in after stealing some food from a merchant's cart, and she stuck around Lyric for the fun he brings. She's taken to parroting back Tetra's orders as she yells them out the crew.

Postby SkieNight » Thu Feb 05, 2015 6:56 pm

Humanoid
Username:
SkieNight
Character Name:
Calix "Forrest" Maru
Gender:
Male
Race:
Human
Homeland:
The small port city of Ardis, just north-east of Silverport
Age:
Nineteen
Personality:
Cocky, smart alek, clever/cunning (street smarts), hates lying but walks around the truth, snarky, doesn’t think just does/follows heart, opinionated, care free, independent, caring, talkative, friendly, outgoing, treats life like a game, will defend friends to the end, adventurous.
History:
~Birth to Age 6~
The boy rarely speaks of his past or his family. In fact, more often then not, he’ll act as though both don’t exist and never existed. Like many people born in the run down city of Pamor, Forrest was born into a poor family. The boy was the youngest of five, with two older sisters and two older brothers. In fact, he wasn’t born to the name of Forrest, but to the name Calix Maru. Family life was chaotic, to say the least with four other kids running around and picking on each other. Things were good, for the most part. Forrest’s mother made money as a maid for various families around town. Though, more often then not, the money would be wasted on the drink his father went out a got. Most nights his father didn’t get home until morning, and the night the man did get home early were filled with yelling and flying objects. At a young age, Forrest found that the best days were the ones spent out of the house. When he was six, the boy ran into his father walking out of town. The man said that he’d be back in a few days and that he just had a “job” to do. His father never came home, and things only got more chaotic.
~Age 7 to Age 10~
Everyone in the family had to work, that was what is mother said. His sisters joined his mother in working for the maids and one of his one of his brothers found an apprenticeship with a blacksmith, and his eldest brother, well he left, supposedly in search of his father. Under the watchful eye of his mother, Forrest was forced to become an apprentice for the same blacksmith as his brother. He hated it. He hated his “boss”, he hated working with his brother, and he hated the work. It took him just over two weeks to get fired, though he didn’t tell his mother, and he still brought in money. That was when he began stealing. As it turned out, being small of his age, the boy was very good at it. However, he wasn’t perfect and of course he was caught. The officers asked him his name and then dragged him home to a fuming mother. That night, when he was eight, almost nine, was the first time he had ever found how much he truly hated his family, they were simply a pack of hypocritical liars. Forrest found his true home to be on the street, and though he wanted to, he could never leave, for the boy still felt responsible for his family as much as he disliked them. When he was nine he found himself on the back porch of a local glass shop, a kind girl let him in, even though she didn’t know him. When she asked his name Calix lied, though he’ll deny it was ever a lie, he said “My name’s… Forrest.” It just slipped out, though he felt more like “Forrest” then like a member of the Maru family. The truth was the boy tired to rob the girl, Araedia, bind. However, she caught him red handed. For whatever reason after that the two became and odd set of friends, Forrest would rather go there then home when he was in trouble. A few years later, Araedia left. Forrest was mad, no furious, at her though he understood why the girl left, and knew that she had no longer had connections to Ardis.
~Teen Years~
Forrest was eleven he left home, he couldn’t stand them anymore, his mother had become more and more angry and his siblings seemed to vent their frustrations out on each other. Forrest left in the middle of the night, he didn’t tell any of them. His first stop was Silverport, he only stayed there for a day or two and that was where he met Kisien. The cat watched and helped the boy steal his dinner, since then they have been inspirable. After that, the boy traveled around from town to town in the Northern Kingdom, never staying in any place long and making his living off of stealing things from others. When he was sixteen he found himself in the capital Alabaster. Conveniently enough, he also found Araedia and she took him in, just as she had years before. The two became fast friends once more, and since then Forrest still travels around, though he makes a point to hang out in the capital more often.

Appearance:
He’s a shorter boy, only standing at around five feet seven inches (5’7”). His skin is a sun tanned (an occasionally sun burned) color from constantly being out side and moving about. To be honest the kind looks kind of weak, while he isn’t a stick and he doesn’t look scrawny, he doesn’t appear to be someone who can take on another in a fight. In truth, the boy is actually very fit and quite strong from climbing over things and sneaking into homes and such, though he is definitely not the strongest person around. His messy brown hair seems to go in every direction, he doesn’t take good care of it, though with enough brushing he can really clean up and look quite dashing. His dark brown eyes have hints of gold and even some red in them, and seem to always be lit up with laughter. He is often seen carrying around a satchel, lord knows what in it.
Companions:
None
Bonded creatures:
Kisien

Creature:
Name:
Kisien
Gender:
Female
Species:
Sea Serval
Personality:
sneaky, greedy, jealous, proud, doesn’t see the problem with lying, adaptable, loyal – to those she likes, observant, devious, vein.
Appearance:
xXx
It’s hard to deny that Kisien is a very beautiful cat. She has silky fur that the color of crimson, and bright blue eyes the color the sea. Dashed across her fur are orange and yellow markings. These markings around found on her for head, and end just around her eyes, are seen on her back and on her legs, and down her tail. Her tail is much more lush and full than other Servals, which is ironic seeing how good she is on her paws. She’s slightly leaner than most of these cats, though she isn’t really that much smaller. Her ears are very pointed, and her eyes are quite large, and are very piercing. It would be odd for anyone to call then friend. No matter what, it always looks as though she observing everything and planning something.

Other:

Humanoid
Name:
Araedia Ferne
Gender:
Female
Age:
Twenty-five
Race:
Human
Nationality or place of origin:
Ardis – A small costal town also along the Eastern Ocean. It is just northwest of Silverport, and is not nearly as large as the other city, though it’s just as old. It’s known for its various crafts and metalworkers. It’s said to be the home of the most Glassworks in all of Eldemore.
Current place of residence:
Alabaster
Appearance:
One of the first things that people notice about Araedia is how tall the girl is. Standing at about five feet eight inches (5’8”), the girl stands taller than some, though she’s no giant. Her clear skin is darker in color, quite a bit darker than your classic caramel color. Her dark brown, almost black hair falls down her back in messy waves that tend to go where they want. When it’s down her hair stretches to the middle of her back, the longest ends almost touch the small of her back. However, the girl rarely wears her hair down, instead she prefers to keep his up either in a ponytail or (more commonly) a bun. Her face is an oval shape with a pointed chin and high cheekbones. Her more almond shaped eyes are perched above a small nose and are a vibrant honey color that can range anywhere from a light brown to a more golden color depending on the light. The girl isn’t a tiny one, and not just in height; while she can’t be called large she is certainly curvy with features that can’t be described a slim or skinny. She is often seen with a kind smile that tugs on the corners of her full lips.
Personality:
Helpful, kind, selfless, skeptic, charismatic, not very trusting or open to new people, protective, worry wart, acts like an elder sister to her friends and be a bit bossy, can act like a know-it-all, puts others safety before herself, doesn’t like to both others, can come off as overconfident
History:
~Child hood~
Araedia grew up in the town of Ardis, and like many people of that town grew up in an artisan household. Her family wasn’t very wealthy but they got by, though there were more than a handful of nights where she went to sleep with a growling stomach. Her father was a metal worker and a glass blower, pretty much a crafter of all sorts and from and young age, Araedia loves to watch him work. Her elder brother, Ethlan, always found craft silly and would rather go out with his friends or torment his sister with his new fighting moves. All this time their mother was either out in the village selling the things their father made or at home working. To say their family was particularly close wasn’t very accurate. Over all things went smoothly and they were happy for the most part. Araedia spent her days either out on the docks with her friends or in the workshop learning things from her father, and even making her own necklaces (she never got a chance to blow glass, though she loved to watch him).
~ Teen Years~
Things quickly changed in her teen years. Besides going through all the inner drama and feistiness that teens go through, when she was around twelve her father got very, and that was when the family began to fall apart. Araedia’s mother was forced to care for her father and so Araedia and her brother were left to run the shop and to earn money for the household. From working with her father Araedia was quick to pick up on the various metalworking techniques, and of course she did get some help from other artisans. However, glass blowing was another thing, while she always watched her father, she had never tried it, and thus struggled to try and pick up his master techniques. All this time Ethlan began to hang out with the “wrong” crowd, and seemed to drift away. Araedia felt as though she, an almost teenaged girl, was in charge and pressured to hold the family together. When she turned thirteen her father passed away leaving her mother in an empty state, where all she could do was housework, and even that was limited. Araedia’s attention turned full time to work and friends (if she was lucky and had time), she barely cast a glance on her brother, she figured (more like hoped) he could take care of himself. When she was between fourteen and fifteen the Rune Purge began and things became messy. While she didn’t live in a large city, Ardis soon became overrun with Cutters and Rebels alike, and she was forced to take a side. Araedia never fought, though she did hide more than one Rebel in her room. Her brother, on the other hand, joined the Cutters, and after a long fight the siblings went their separate ways. In truth, Araedia doesn’t even know if he’s alive or not, and frankly she doesn’t care. It was during this time when she met a young boy who called himself Forrest (later she learned his name was Calix). He was nine at the time when he ran into her and begged her for cover from the Cutters. She took him in and that was the beginning of their odd but fantastic friendship. She also met Zaetlan at the time, the resident Glasswork that seemed to have taken a liking to her shop.
~After/Late Years~
After the craziness of the Rune Purge ended, Araedia’s mother became very sick and soon passed away. With her home and family in ruins and her shop barely scarping by she packed up what was left and headed out to Alabaster with dreams of opening a new glass and metal shop. The start was harder than what she would have liked and had its ups and downs (downs being the prominent thing in her memeor), but soon she was working, paying taxes without debt and could actually eat more than one meal a day. She couldn’t have been any prouder of herself. It seemed like things were beginning falling into place. She was about twenty or so when there was a loud rap on her door one night. She found none other than Forrest standing in the rain. She let the boy in, though he insisted on hiding instead of drying off first. She hadn’t seen him in years, they exchanged letters, and even that was hard with the boy always on the run. After hiding him form the authority figures again their relation ship took off as though it had never paused. When she was about twenty-two or so, she found Lior on her front porch and took in the small otterling who seemed to enjoy the shop and Zaetlan. However, recently things aren’t going as planed. Glasswork isn’t as popular as it use to be.

Companions:
Lior
Bonded creatures:
Zaetlan

Creatures:
Name:
Zaetlan
Gender:
Female
Species:
Glasswork
Personality:
: tends to give advice to other, always seen as the voice of reason, level headed & thinks through things logically, tries to look at whole picture & not just w/ bias, a bit defensive of her thoughts and often sees herself as smarter than others, calm – its hard to even get her annoyed nevertheless angry, is quite bossy and just as skeptical as Araedia, very judgmental when it comes to artistic talent.
Appearance:
xXx
Barely the size of a dragon fly with two pairs of long and very thin light green wings that seem to glimmer in the sun light. A dark, forest green body with what looks to be white markings around her ankles & two thin horns on either side of her head. A second pair of much smaller, just as fragile wings that are more yellow with a pink patter across them. Her armor is a bronze color made of bronze and two other types of rare earth metals. It covers most of her chest & neck (both the front and back), her back and sides, and her armor actually reaches around protecting her stomach, down her front and (unlike some) it protects her back legs as well. Her tai’s armor has green jewels through out and silver leaf as its décor, though her silver leaf happens to have a crack down the middle, and she doesn’t seem to be in any mood to fix it. From the very end of her tail hang a few small strings attached to a few other jewels that caught her eye, not only green but dark blue, teal, & bright yellow.

Other:
None right now

Creature:
Name:
Lior
Gender:
Female
Species:
Otterling
Personality:
quiet, shy around strangers, easily startled, timid, tries to help the best she can, playful, fun-loving
Appearance:
xXx
Still being very young Lior is very small and very thin. She is a more beige color with an almost pinky tinge to it, the exact color of her coat is near impossible to name. She has lots of little accent markings across her body, which is one of two colors, a dark chocolate brown, or a light tan. The darker color it seen on the fur that wraps around her neck and her stomach, and is also seen as stripes on her tail and at the very ends of her tail and paws, along with being spotted as the accent color over many of her other markings. The tan color is seen on swirls on her legs and in a stripe down her back, and is almost seen on her tail. Her most prominent feature is her eyes, which are a lovely purple color, neither very dark nor very light. She also has an odd habit of carrying around a glowing candle orb, her reason is unknown, but more often then not she’ll either be on top of it, or at least touching the glowing orb in some way.

Hiding under sheets with the news on repeat
'Cause the screams and cries are hard to delete
While I'm trying to sleep, oh how could I sleep?
Laying in bed, trying to empty my head
All these acts of violence ripping this world to shreds
While I'm trying to sleep, oh how could I sleep?

Wish there were words to say to make a change
Oh, the words to sing to end this suffering

Let's start a revolution where we all stand as one
Cause we need to make a change for a new day
We need to be the generation that’ll awaken a solution
Cause we need to make a change
Make a change, make a change for a new day

Humanoid
Username: Tundra
Character Name: Kuar Sutrath (koo-are soo-t-wrath)
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Homeland: Kuar grew up in the large untamed western Kingdom of Norsland, but also has Celt blood in his veins. His father was Nor, his mother Celt
Age: Kuar..appears 21, but actually is immortal due to his cursed bond to an ancient(Val).
Personality: Kuar is quiet and observant. He constantly watches the lands around him and assess the situation before acting. When it comes to interaction, he will hold his breath unless its needed to speak. If he starts a conversation, it does indeed expect a reply. he finds it offensive to not reply atleast with something if you're spoken to. After bonding with Valerius, he learned just how important being able to speak can be to someone once they have lost it. Kuar often though will remain quiet even when one speaks to him until he can find something to say.
History: WIP mostly..I'm horrible at creating backstories for some characters. Perhaps his will grow with the lore changes. He already has an interesting start having mixed region blood lol.
Appearance: <--
Companions: Despona(Des-po-na) and Remna(Rem-na) a Sleipner and her foal he saved from an abusive situation back in the Nors. She has since stayed with him and carried him on his journeys. Her foal ended up pygmy and remains close to her mothers side at all times.
Bonded creatures: Pyry Winterwing (Pie-rye winter-wing), Khalid Adir (Caw-lid) (Ah-deer) and Valerius(The Gatekeeper ancient)

Creature:
Name: Pyry Winterwing
Gender: Male
Species: Ice Rune Dragon(custom)
Personality: playful, insightful, curious, loving, Loyal to Kuar only, holds grudges,
Appearance: Image
Pyry actually has a small scar on the eye facing you, but this is my choice not his official look
Other: Pyry was Kuars first bonded creature, which gave him his magic.

Creature:
Name: Khalid Adeer
Gender: Male
Species: Griffin
Personality: Khalid is helpful, and a quick thinker. He is also protective of his keeper, and will die for him if it came down to it. His mind though, is a trouble one, having lost his parents as a youngling and battled in an arena for show. If you happen to catch him out of a bad dream, he might lash out at you, his eyes hazed until he gains full consciousness.
Appearance: Image
has a scar on his eye and is blind in it, from a fight at a young age. Also has a lighter patch of fathers on the shoulder shaped like Valerius's Ancient mark from bonding with Kuar. He has many scars actually from his fights.
Other:

------------------
Humanoid Ancient
Character Name: Valerius Immortus (Val-er-E-us) (M-more-tus)
Gender: Valerius is Male
Race: Gatekeeper Ancient
Homeland: The Flickering Valies is his region of birth,
Age: Val is beyond knowledge in age, he is younger then Oblivion, but older the the Faded Galaxy Ancnient.
Personality: (the italic section of this was written by Benathorn)Quiet, but has a rage that is kept in check. Val also does not like people asking many questions of him, especially since he is unable to answer them. Val is no stranger to death and its realm. However, he has broken his chains that the Dead King placed on him long ago, and forever travels with his broken bonds that still cling to his limbs. His punishment for leaving his post was to have his voice taken away, and the King ripped the throat of the Gatekeeper to keep him silent and his secrets held forever within. Now the Gatekeeper is always reminded of his sins with the scars along his stark blue fur and the chains that forever trail behind him. Although he may be free to roam as he pleases now, he will never be able to speak again and can only whisper thoughts through the Summoning Stone which Kuar carries on him. Those that befriend him, are few and far between, but once friends, he defends them quite well despite his frail form.
History: I have not specifically written a history to Val, but his story of the bond he made with Kuar was written by Benathorn which I have posted bellow.
You are solemn and soft spoken. Though others rarely notice your presence, you take note of everything around you and understand that there is a greater purpose to life. You do not sit idly by and let life pass you, though others tend to pass over you as if you were only a shadow. You are not hated but neither are you greatly known, preferring your own company rather than the company of others. It does not bother you and you are at peace with this, but something about your surroundings seems off. While everyone around you seems to be either white or black in their decisions, you are grey. You often make choices that others would never dream of doing and make sacrifices to better help those you love, no matter the cost to yourself. You are not swayed one way or the other, and instead take heart in your own beliefs rather than lettings others instill theirs unto you. Even though you are often quiet in nature, you have a rebellious streak within you that is defiant when others try to control your actions. For those who appear shy and meek in appearance are often the one's with the sharpest minds and strongest of wills. And so is the legend that speaks of the Gatekeeper that is told only during Hallow's Eve night.

You sit alone at night as you watch the shallow lights of lanterns fill your town with an ember hue. Children are cast about the streets in playful fright as their Runes trail along behind them or atop their shoulders. It brings a smile to your face as you watch from a nearby bench and simply enjoy the cool autumn air. However, a flicker of blue catches your vision and you turn to look behind you to see a bobbing blue flame float aimlessly into the nearby forest of your town. It is not a common occurrence to go chasing after bright flames past midnight but you have always been curious to such things and begin to follow the oddity. The flame is that of a lone fox fire rune as it travels deeper into the woods and more of it's kind begin to gather in a clearing among the now bare trees. Their fires flit from atop their heads and gather into one bright blue flame as you stare at the phenomena with wide eyes. The flames soon burst and a large crystal stone is left in it's place as the Runes scatter and fly off. Curious, you tread forth to see the stone still burning with a blue flame at it's center but cold to the touch, as you pick it up and keep it close to you.

You know of these stones. Large and with great magic, they call out to Rune Bearers and summon great Ancients. However, this stone is silent and the only movement that stirs are the blue flames encased within the crystal. You decide that this is just another oddity on a night full of strange magic. But as you go to stand you realize you are no longer in your own world. A large barren landscape spreads out before you with a few gnarled trees here and there. The sky is unearthly and blue and violet lights ebb and flow across the air as if they were heat lighting. This world is no longer the Eldemore that you grew up in and you can feel your life being tugged at, as if the dry cracked soil threatens to suck it out of you beneath your feet. This is a land that is not used to creatures of life and you start panic, "Where am I?! Somebody, please help me!" You call out to this bare world only to hear your voice echo until it is no more. Was the stone truly enchanted then? Were you cursed the moment you touched it? The sound of dragging metal brings you out of your dark thoughts as you turn to face it.

You nearly jump though as the form before you is startled as well by your presence. A large dragon, with blue flames that burn atop it's head and tail, stands before you with bright eyes. It's markings seem to move as if they have a life of their own, and you notice the sounds you heard were the broken chains that trail from the dragons feet. He leers at you with narrowed eyes and you two simply look at each other in silence. A part of you believes this dragon will soon speak, soon tell you where you are and why you are here. But he says nothing and you notice the scars that litter his body and broken chains before he begins to turn and walk away. "Wait! Where are you going?" You call to him as you run to catch up. You soon notice the horrific scars across his throat as he peers back down at you. "Those scars...can you speak?" You touch your own neck as if you can feel his pain and loss, as he bends his head to stare into your mortal eyes. He opens his mouth, but nothing emits from it and he jerks his head to your stone. The crystal pulsates and a voice begins to chime through, "You are in the Land of the Dead, human. Leave..." He turns away from you once more as he continues his slow pace to nowhere.

"Hold on just a sec. How am I in the land of the dead! I'm not dead...am I? And what are you? Are you one of the Ancients of old?" You ignore his warning as he becomes noticeably annoyed with your many questions. The stone begins to speak once more as he stops and glares down at your form. "No human has summoned me, the Gatekeeper, before. I was told that I would never have a summoner...yet here you are and with a stone that allows me to hear my voice once again when I thought it was taken from me forever...no human. You are not dead but will be if you stay for too long." You can hear the sadness in his voice as he speak to you through the crystal and look at him in question, "Who told you could not have a summoner? What happened?" He looks to you with a silent expression before turning his head away, as if hesitant to tell you anything..."I decided that I wanted freedom and to leave my duties as Gatekeeper. But I learned the hard way that I can not run from what I am destined to do, though I deem the fate cruel. I challenged the King of this realm so that I could be free, but was cast down for my daring to leave my post. You see, young human, the Gatekeeper must keep the souls and dark magic that threaten our world locked away forever. Never to see the day, or to fly in the land of the living, I am tasked to forever collect the spirits of evil and cast them into the Well of Souls. Here they must stay for their transgressions and here I must also stay to keep them under lock and key..." He moves his tail slightly to show the many assortment of keys which dangle from his tail. The soft sounds they made chimed lightly as he peers at you once more with a thoughtful gaze.

"The King said I would never be allowed to take a Summoner as my own and was also punished by having my voice ripped from my thorat, so that I could never reveal the secrets of the well. But it seems Fate herself has decided to deal me a different hand..." You look up at this dragon in wonder and sorrow. So much pain he must endure to ensure that the evil of this world is kept locked away, you can only imagine what it must be like to be chained and bound to your fate. "It is selfish of me young one but...I can obtain some freedom through you if you permit me so." You continue to stare at this great beast as his chains clatter while he moves to take a step closer to you. "You hold my summoning stone, and thus, have the right to be my summoner...that is, if you would have me..." He averts his gaze away as if in shame for asking you to be a summoner of an Ancient as cursed as he. You have heard the tales of those who have recently accepted these pacts and who become either cursed or blessed. You grip the stone harder as the fire burns a bit brighter around it's crystal blue edges. "I'm afraid the only pact I can offer is that of a cursed life though. You would live forever beside me, walking the same cursed existence and judging the souls of the living...The Well must never be touched by mortal hands though, for it holds great and terrible magic deep within its depths. Man covet such old magic but it is I that strikes them down before they can lay claim to what is not theirs." He growls at this, as if remembering a dark past of those who have tried to abuse the well.

You look to the stone and back to the scarred form of the Gatekeeper, his body was lean and looked as if he had been through much to break his chains, only to now wander alone in this empty place. "No one should be allowed to walk forever alone without at least a friend by their side. Gatekeeper...I accept your pact, not because I feel sorry for you, but because I know I would not want an existence without someone to share it with it. Hopefully now, you will never be alone and I can offer you some sort of solace in a fate that should be shared by two rather than one." The Ancient seems stunned that you would take such a curse upon you as you speak his true name. "You astonish me child...I-I am grateful beyond words for such kindness to be showed unto me..." You smile up at the Ancient with bright eyes as you feel his magic flowing through you, ancient but powerful, "Hey, don't worry about it, everyone needs a friend and besides! It's All Hallows Eve and more than just tricks and treats should be given on this night."

Valerius's human form is just as solemn as his dragon form. He stands at a good height with dark silvery blue hair that looks as if it were about to catch fire. His silver-grey eyes are sharp and seem to sear into those which he stares into for too long. A long scar spreads across his neck, a reminder to never raise up against the king of the Land of the Dead, and to warn others what may happen if you stray from your intended destiny, no matter how cruel it may seem.

Companions: Pyry and Khalid
Other: A BIG other XD Val is a mute. He is rarely seen without Kuar, but when he is he prefers to listen. Val also has a GREAT resentment of Oblivion, like all others. Along with that, he also dislikes the Gravekeeper Ancient(First Hallows Eve event) And..the 4 horsemen Ancients.

~Summoning Stone of the Gatekeeper- This stone is quite large with protruding shards of crystal that gleam a deep sapphire blue. The subtle mark within it's depths burn with a white light that sears the eyes, and you can never focus on the stone for too long lest it blinds you temporarily.
~The Ancient Gatekeeper is probably the most well known Ancient among man. He is the farrier of lost souls and keeper of secrets. He guards the 'Well of Souls' which keeps spirits of all creatures that have lost their way and refuse to pass on. This well is full of malice and dark magic, so it is up to the Gatekeeper to ensure that none leave nor take what the well keeps in it's dark depths. Though this silent beast is solemn, he can only offer a cursed pact to his summoner and has yet to take one for fear of what he would have to take away from the human.
~The Ancient Rune has many names; Grave Keeper, Keeper of Secrets, Solomon, Guardian, Warden, etc...What its "true" name is, however, can only be known by it's summoner...

Re: Where Three Roads Meet Discussion

Postby Commander Shepard » Fri Feb 06, 2015 3:25 am

Shepard's form is finished, meaning I'm gonna do the opening post... within an hour or so (before bed anyway) :D All I ask is that people try not to move too fast after that-- like, if you go past a page in half an hour, then it's proooobably a bit too much and can be scaled back some x3

/just wanted to update y'all
